ICT and
new work forms in the press and publishing sector,
the Walloon Science Policy Council (CPS) and the Economic
and Social Council of the Walloon Region (CESRW) (2000-2001) |
|
The research analyses the relation between ICT and work
transformations in the press and publishing sector. This research
was entrusted by the Walloon Science Policy Council (Conseil wallon
de Politique Scientifique, CPS) and the Economic and Social Council
of the Walloon Region (Conseil Economique et Social de la Région
Wallonne, CESRW), within the framework of their programme on technology
assessment. This research was carried out by Laure Lemaire, Gerard
Valenduc and Patricia Vendramin.
This research has a double objective. On the one hand,
it analyses the evolution of products, services, companies, trades
and employment in a sector which plays a key role in the French-speaking
part of Belgium and which has moreover a significant cultural impact.
On the other hand, this sectoral analysis helps to identify more
general tendencies as regards flexible organisations, new work forms
and transformation of skills and qualifications.
