MéTIC - Quality of work, employment and training in ICT jobs, for the European Social Fund and the Regional Minister for Employment (2002-2005)
The MéTIC project studies the new forms of work organisation, working conditions, and skills requirements in activities related to ICT. By activities related to the ICT, we mean at the same time the hard core of the ICT sector (ICT industries and services), but also peripheral activities, more or less close to this hard core and whose characteristic is to propose activities mainly based on ICT (multimedia, design and management of websites, telecommunications, call centres, e-publishing, e-business, etc).

The project is supported by the European Social Fund (Objective 3) and the Walloon Region (Ministry for employment and vocational training). The research project is carried out by Caroline Guffens, Laure Lemaire, Patricia Vendramin (project manager) and Gérard Valenduc.

The results are published in French, in three downloadable reports:

  • Patricia Vendramin, Professional trajectories in ICT occupations: results of the MéTIC survey (November 2004).
  • Patricia Vendramin, Caroline Guffens, Professional trajectories in enterprises (March 2005).
  • Gérard Valenduc, Laure Lemaire, Occupations and training supply in ICT professions in Wallonia and Brussels (April 2005).
