Technology assessment: EMERIT (Experiments of Mediation and Evaluation in Research and Technological Innovation)

The newsletter "La Lettre EMERIT" (in French)

"La Lettre EMERIT" is a quarterly newsletter on "science, technology & society" issues, published in French only. The subscription is free, on request (pvendramin@ftu-namur.org).

From number 15 (1997), an electronic version of "La Lettre EMERIT" is also downloadable, in Acrobat format (pdf).

The EMERIT experience (1992-2004)

The EMERIT programme (Experiments of Mediation and Evaluation in Research and Technological Innovation) began in 1992. It was entrusted to the Work and Technologies Research Centre by successive ministers for research and technological development (from 1992 to 2002). The EMERIT work programme aimed at developing information and awareness on societal questions linked to technological innovation. EMERIT activities develop a regional perspective and associate partners and users of R&D. The work programme mainly focuses on the socio-economic aspects of technological innovation and its impacts on work and civil society. It aims at enhancing culture and control of innovation, at the regional level and among social actors. The work programme includes exploratory studies, publications, seminars and conferences.
